Complimentary Medicine Improve your health and prevent life threatening and chronic illnesses with natural therapies such as healthy lifestyle changes, nutrition, supplemental nutrients, powerful antioxidants and exercise. Ayurveda Ayurveda is comprised of two words. ‘Ayur’ means Life, and ‘Veda’ means Knowledge. Thus, Ayurveda deals with how to live a healthy, balanced life. It is a traditional, holistic system of health science from India, which has been practiced for over 5,000 years and seeks to restore the natural balance and state of health to mind, body & soul. Through this body-mind-soul approach, several chronic health conditions have been found to be significantly improved. By Living in tune with nature and focusing on universal principles connecting mind, body and soul, Ayurveda strives to improve harmony and happiness in an individual. The maintenance of good health through a balanced daily routine, seasonal regime and a wholesome diet is emphasized. Every individual is considered to be unique because of their unique mind-body-soul constitution which is analyzed to determine any imbalances in these three biological rhythms or forces - vata, pitta, kapha.
Therapies such as individualized dietary and herbal food supplements are recommended, as well as breathing exercises, Hatha Yoga exercises, Meditation techniques, and gentle home detoxification techniques.

| Chiropractic & Functional Medicine What I do primarily as a Chiropractor is find and correct misalignments between the bones that make up the spine (vertebra). This helps relieve the irritation, pain and inflammation from the joints in the spine and also helps relieve pressure from the spinal cord and nerves. To accomplish this, I gently press on different parts of a patients' spine either with my hands, or with a low force instrument if they don't like the "popping" noise that an adjustment can sometimes produce. Along with helping people feel better, chiropractic adjustments help restore proper communication between the brain and the rest of the body. Considering the fact that the brain controls every cell in the human body, removal of pressure on the nervous system is vital to overall health and well being.
