Greg Schweitzer, MBA, D.Ay, received his master’s degree from the Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa. His diploma in Ayurvedic Wellness Counseling was issued by the New England Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine.
The quality of Greg’s life dramatically changed when he enrolled in a meditation course. At the time, he was a young, stressed out Industrial Engineer working for one of the world’s largest food companies.
Two years after he began his meditation practice, with growing happiness, stability, energy and enthusiasm, Greg decided to make a career of teaching meditation to others. He enrolled in an extensive year-long training program and became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation®.
In the first 17 years of his teaching career, Greg taught Transcendental Meditation (TM). In 1994, he left the international organization that teaches TM and formed his own organization, Stress Reduction Resources, and began teaching a meditation technique that he calls Effortless Meditation™.
In Greg’s 40+ years of teaching, he has introduced thousands to the numerous benefits of meditation. His client list includes employees, executives, and physician-referred patients, celebrities such as George Harrison of the Beatles and Wayne Dyer, Ph.D., and organizations of all sizes.
Two of Greg’s most influential teachers are the late Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of the Transcendental Meditation program and integrative medicine pioneer, Deepak Chopra, M.D. Greg worked with Dr. Chopra at the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Lancaster, MA in the early 90’s.
